Last weekend was our first snow ride of the season. With a fresh dump of snow(20 cm) the night before we decided it was time for a ride. Temperature around -11 c partly cloudy we were off. We decided to try and do a loop to a couple lakes that we ride to in the summer. With that, and the fact I film our rides I decided it was time to share (might not be good thing) but it 's better than having it sitting in my computers memory.

I have posted other videos from past winter rides but most of those were from groomed trails in the province of Quebec which takes about an 1 hr drive to reach from home.I live on the border of Ontario and Quebec in Ottawa on (Canada 's capital.) So instead of buying a pass for the season we're going to ride in Ontario (1 hr drive to this area also) for a change. New laws came into effect in the last few months which allow us to ride on public provincial roads legally, not all roads (bylaws prevent it in most major cities but that has been changing slowly) but most are fair game. This opened up a lot of new riding options for us. The area we are riding in is considered crown land (public land) lots of old logging roads and trails going into many of the small and large lakes in the area. The total ride was about 80 km, in the bush for 30 km of that.

With all that said these videos do not have any music in the background and hopefully I got all the inappropriate language out of the sound track.. I had 4 1/2 hrs of video so I cut out some of the video. There are areas were we used winching for safety reasons . In part 6 coming out my bike was at full throttle most of the way out ,I think we were real lucky to get out that way but if we had gone back the other way at the turn at the beginning of the video we would most likely still be winching to get out . we took the better of the two and we were lucky.

Anyways watch what you want .
