Some of the trails don't get much traffic as seen. These were spring 2013 & fall 2013 pic at around 8.5K elevation

Kenny does the BLM guys give you much greif out there on and off trail riding. When I was out there last time hunting on the eastern side of the Big Horn they tried to write us up for riding on and off the roadbeds and we hadn't even unloaded ours off the trailers yet and had a BLM guy from New Mexico with us too. Seems they had had lots of people or hunters riding everywheres causing issues. They told us we could ride to pick up game if we used the 90 degree rule like on a golf course. All in all they still checked us every day that week. I really enjoyed the country tho and ended up spending a couple extra days in Kaycee and Casper.

Keeter, I've only had one BLM person ever talk with me and if I hadn't dumped my 450 off into a bottemless bog-hole we probably would have never meet. In your case it probably had to do with hunting season going on. Game & Fish, and BLM come out pretty thick during hunting season. We have lots of State, Federal, and private lands mixed. I don't ride that many BLM trail sites, mostly State and private. There are times you have to ride outlaw but if you respect the land the private sector is not bad to work with. We're talkng ranches that are thousands of acres in size with a mix of leased State & Federal lands, plus private lands.

Hey Keeter, Did you know Kaycee Wy. is where Chris Ledoux called home? The family has a ranch there and in the summer they have a big-azz BBQ/rodeo in memory of Chris. It's pretty cool, all the ole cowboy come to town along with the site seers.

Thanks Gyrene, We don't have nearly the under growth, humidity, or bugs that you that live in the warmer & wetter areas. Makes for nice riding but the season is much shorter unless a guy goes with some tracks like Gunny has.

KEnny I didnt know that was his hometown, I bet it awesome when they throw that grubb on tho. Just had buddy get back from Jackson Hole and he said he was happy to be back, mentioning about it being 25 or below all last week. He said he told his dad he wasn't going back till it warmed up some.
