So, yesterday morning got a call from my girlfriend that a nice silverado 3500 came into the dealership she works at for a trade in over the weekend. It was supposed to be picked up by a wholesaler, because theyre a ford dealer and strictly deal with ford. They didnt show up during the weekend for some reason, and were on route to pick this truck up. They called them off, i went to check out the truck, and im officially the owner. Its a 2008 Chevy Silverado 3500 Duramax LTZ FULLY loaded. Has 78k miles, in very good condition. It has every bell and whistle. (Sunroof, DVD player, heated/AC seats, power sliding rear window, sat/nav, ect) I eneded up paying $28,000 OTD with taxes and all after my trade in (2005 silverado 1500 in very rough shape has an engine noise). Overall very happy, cant wait till its in the driveway. Picking it up on Friday, its getting the full go over by my girlfriends dad thats a Master Ford tech. For now heres a pic, there will be more to follow, along with a build thread. :67:

Sounds like a real nice unit Gaderider13, but I can't see the pic you posted. I've sure enjoyed my 2500HD. That Duramax pulls like a Clydesdale and quiet. :72:

Haha thanks! I went with the long bed, picking up a Diamondback bed cover, so i can haul 2 ATVs on the truck, and plan on getting a smaller traveltrailer. This truck should haul that load pretty well lol. I normally would have went with a SRW, but for the price and how loaded it was, couldnt pass it up.

Yep its 4x4, dont think id ever buy a 2wd truck lol.

And it begins.... lol. Just bought a Mag-Hytec deep sump trans pan and filter, and a Mag-Hytec rear diff cover. First things first, bringing the truck to my buddys trans shop for a fluid change and full check up to make sure everything looks good. Have a 90 day powertrain warranty and want to make sure all is well.

Thanks! Cant wait to pick it up, waiting is the hardest part lol. Over the last 2 days, the dealership has put all new OEM chevy brakes on it, oil change, and replaced 2 seals that were weeping slightly, all at no cost to me! Truck is now 100%. Will get a full fluid change when i get ahold of it (trans, both differentials and coolant) and take it from there. Wish it was Friday now.. lol.

Thanks! Love the truck already, its easy to drive and rides really smooth for a 1 ton... smoother than my last truck honestly lol. Only downside is parking, but i just go out a little further.

I have the F550 extended cab work truck with a work tail shelf, I am with you on parking. I always back in or find a bus/rv parking.. It took about a week to get use to it. Has the wide service body, 6'000lb crane so its a beast. Before you know it it will be like parking a volks wagon. It don't help the parking lot spaces are getting smaller..:41:

Haha yep i hear you on that. And its true about the spots getting smaller and smaller... i can nearly pull through 2 spots and full both completely in some parkinglots... outrageous.
