With the help of Jack (TheModfather) we put together this clutch/cvt install video. It shows what's involved with converting your CVT to grease-less using sliders and 12 gram rollers from Dr. Pulley. Other work performed in the video was installing a UTV Inc. Machined primary sheave, installing the 1-mm shim mod, and switching out the stock secondary spring for an EPI blue spring. Been about a year and a half now that I have been running this setup, and still one of the best modifications I have done for the 450.

So I am assuming you scuff the sheave surface so the belt has more "bite" to the surface? (feel free to delete after answer)

Yep, to take the glazing off of the sheave surface so the belt has a new grabbing surface. Be sure to scuff in a non directional pattern.
