They're probably tired of replacing clutches under warranty! Lol

I've watched this video 20 times today, lol. If it's geared low enough or has a low range then I'm gonna be REALLY interested! :97:

Can't wait to see what they are releasing! I'm hoping it's a auto with a really good low range/high range setup for us East Coasters...

All of these manufacturers usually recycle stuff to keep costs down.
Same with the basic motor and transmission in the YXZ.
Does Yamaha have an off the shelf automatic transmission and clutch setup that does what they need the YXZ to do?
Yes, it is in the FJR 1300 road bike, which is the transmission and clutch setup that I thought it would have in it in the beginning, but they left off the brain and its components that would make it shift and take off without a clutch pedal. The shift operates like an air shifter on a drag bike only electrically operated.

New yxz with same motor and transmission with electronically controlled clutch and shift. And they better have lower differential ratio's or a low range or they might as well forget it.

    Just my best guess.

Looks like the Sport Model I never cared for back in my beginning, sitting straddle a seat on a 4 wheeler. The Utility Models with storage and a bed that can be filled with junque is more my type. BUT, not having the clutch to press could value-add the YXZ to many. A new model twin cylinder wolverine option would be a lot more impressive to me, IMHO. I am just glad to see Yamaha doing things in the hobby to meet all types of riders likes and needs. Ride Safe...MD

I've heard it supposed to be their model to compete with the 60" machines in gncc racing. Would make sense to me to be the next one out.

we'll know in two days for sure
if you look at the patent for what we now know as the YXZ
it stated manual or paddle shift auto
the current YXZ could be narrowed by shortening the a-arms and axles
it is the widest at the tires
lower gearing with a much lower first would be preferable to me
no stopping to change hi/lo range

Lower gearing is it, I don't care if it's 70" wide, a plush ride is far more important than fitting in between two mythical random trees somewhere to me.

Just read that the release is gonna be similar to the one for the YXZ, a live release. But, this time they are somewhere in the Carolinas ... I sure wonder where!!

Im thinking Only brushy mtn or the mud pit near goldsboro or CAW is the only public places i can think of. Doubt its Brown mtn unless its the 55", 60" Gncc machine some are waiting for. Unless theres been a major trail widening a 70" machine will never make it up them mtns. The 1k rzr is huge like a jeep already. If the trails keep getting bigger i might as well build up a good suspended fast off road 4x4 buggy for the 20k these things are going for. East coast is turning into west coast fast.. we just trow a few more rocks and roots into the mix..:57:

you're starting to sound like an old guy I know...me!

flimmy on James' forum said his Yamaha dealer was invited to Greenville, S.C. for the unveiling, so whatever park is near there will be the demo rides, I assume
